WHY WE NEED THIS PORTAL

Despite the best of intentions to educate people about how the Government is working for their welfare by creating awareness through radio, TV, print or online media, an information drought is occurred which leads to crores of citizens being deprived of government schemes that can help them overcome poverty. This is happening because there are many overlaps in these schemes, few are without any clear mandate, and there's hardly any awareness among the beneficiaries. For the Illiterate poor right from filling application to visiting government offices it is a challenging task to avail government benefits and they finally give up on availing the schemes. Thus, a significant part of budget allocations for various public welfare schemes remains under-utilised.

This lack of awareness of welfare schemes can be solved through an efficient collaboration between the government and intended beneficiary. At present, there is no existing solution which provides an interface for people to access easy-to-understand actionable information on government schemes.T-welfare.in is trying to address this problem by providing a simple platform that provides easy, accurate and reliable information about the welfare schemes, the eligibility criteria and the application process thus creating adequate awareness and quick access to welfare schemes and services devised by the government.
